# Advice Documents

**Advice Documents** (also referred to as **Portfolio Summaries** or **Fund Summaries**) are **flexible reports** that can be issued on any day of the month.\
They are used by both:

* **Advisers** – to summarise multi-asset model portfolios
* **Fund Managers** – to present single-strategy fund summaries

**Key Fields**

* **Code** – Unique identifier (e.g., model code, APIR, ticker)
* **Name** – Report name (e.g., *True Diversity Growth*)
* **Template** – Report template used for layout/styling
* **Platform** – Broker or logical end data source
* **Entity** – White-label brand or dealer group identity
* **Date** – Reporting period date
* **Tools** – Quick actions: open, edit, export to PDF

**Modes of Use**

* **View Mode (default)**
  * Opens in a read-only layout
  * Designed for **sharing, printing, and PDF export**
  * Supports multiple reports open in parallel
  * Ideal for **client-facing distribution** or compliance archiving
* **Edit Mode**
  * Switches to a **Google Docs-style editor**
  * Allows updating of commentary, adding or removing tables/charts
  * Fields can be customised for either **multi-asset portfolios** (e.g., asset allocation, neutral ranges) or **single funds** (e.g., top holdings, sector exposures)
  * Options to **Save** drafts or **Publish** finalised reports, which then revert to View Mode

**Workflow**

1. Select a **Portfolio/Fund** from the landing page
2. Open in **View Mode** for preview or PDF export
3. Switch to **Edit Mode** for commentary or structural updates
4. **Save** for draft mode, or **Publish** to finalise
5. Return to **View Mode** for compliance logging and distribution
