# Portfolios

The Portfolios module is where investment models are created, tracked, and maintained. It provides a single source of truth for allocations, benchmarks, and classifications, ensuring consistency between internal research, live portfolios, and client reporting.

#### Organising your Portfolio

Portfolios are organised in a clear structure:

* All – complete library of all portfolios in the system.
* Synced – models that are connected to live data feeds or pipelines (green sync icon).
* Custom – shadow or internally created portfolios, often used for testing or client-specific setups.
* Archived – inactive or historical models retained for compliance and audit purposes (grey archive icon).
* Export – batch export options for use in reporting and external systems.

Each portfolio record displays:

* Code & Name – unique identifiers for the portfolio.
* Platform – mapping to an external system if required.
* Category – assigned risk profile or investment style (e.g., Moderate, High Growth).
* Icons / Tools – quick actions for editing, syncing, or exporting.

**Integration with Reports**

Portfolios are the foundation for downstream reporting:

* Monthly Factsheets
* Quarterly Reports
* Custom client deliverables

Any updates to allocations, categories, or benchmarks flow automatically into Report Studio templates, maintaining consistency across all output.
