# Benchmarks

The **Benchmarks** feature provides a central interface for viewing, managing, and exporting benchmark return series. It consolidates both automated feeds (from connected data sources) and manually uploaded benchmarks, while also allowing users to create custom composite benchmarks for more tailored comparisons.

The main grid displays all benchmark series, with the following key fields:

* **Benchmark Name** – Human-readable name of the benchmark (e.g., Consumer Price Index +1%).
* **Latest Date** – Most recent return available in the dataset.
* **First Date** – Inception date or earliest available return.
* **Performance Columns** (automatically calculated over rolling windows):
  * **1M, 3M, 6M** – Periodic performance windows ranging from 1 to 6 months.
  * **1Y, 2Y, 3Y, 5Y, 10Y** – Annualised returns over standard look-backs from 1 Year to 10 Years.
  * **Inception** – Cumulative or annualised performance since the first recorded date.
